We both worked for U.S. Steel (Roy) and it’s Oilwell Division (Linda) for over 25 years.   Roy transferred to Dallas from Pittsburgh, PA in 1974, to work at Oilwell HQ.   Linda grew up in Waco, and has lived in TX most of her life.   We each married, raised two children, divorced and then remarried (to each other).   This year will mark our 18^th anniversary.  

In the mid-80’s, Oilwell was merged with National Supply Co. and the new company’s HQ was moved to Houston.   We both took a 2-yr layoff & then were able to retire.   Roy went back to work for the City of Irving, and Linda worked for an investment firm and then a construction equipment rental Co.   Following a second retirement, we are now busy traveling to and fro while we’re still able and willing.   [they are pictured in France!]

We joined Circle I in 2004 to meet some new friends, and it was one of the best decisions we’ve ever made.   I believe that we are the only couple from our class still in Circle I.   We really appreciate having been named the couple of the year, although working with other Circle I members makes it easy to get things done.   Many other people could easily have been chosen!
